Standing for Justice in Sammy’s Memory

On November 12, 2020, our son, Sammy Graham Jr., was tragically murdered. Our lives changed forever on that day. The pain of losing Sammy will always remain, but so will our determination to see justice served.

As of today, the charges against the perpetrator remain first-degree murder, with a trial scheduled for October 6. Our family believes strongly that Sammy’s rights — and the rights of all victims — must be upheld. The justice system must stand up for good people, fight against criminals, and work to make the world a better and safer place.

Too often, we see a system that protects those who commit harm rather than those who have suffered from it. In July, for example, a person charged with first-degree murder was released on bail — a painful reminder of how justice can feel out of balance.

We share this update not only because it is part of our story, but because we believe in the importance of speaking truth. Everything shared here has already been made public in court and in the media, and we want our community to understand why we continue to push for justice.

Every day, we carry the heartbreak of Sammy’s absence. Yet we also carry the belief that his life and legacy can inspire change. We want a world where there is less violence, more accountability, and more compassion.

As we move toward the trial this October, we ask for your continued prayers, support, and awareness. Together, we can honor Sammy’s life by choosing love, by fighting for justice, and by working to make this world a place where other families don’t have to experience the same pain.
