Remembering Sammy: A Legacy of Courage, Compassion, and Community
On January 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., the verdict will finally be read in the trial for the first-degree murder of Sammy Graham Jr.
This day has been a long time coming.
It has been five years, two months, seven days, four hours, and countless moments of grief since November 12, 2020, the day Sammy—only 19 years old—was taken from us. A young man full of kindness, courage, and an unwavering sense of what was right.
Sammy was the kind of person who stood up for others.
The kind who protected people, even when it cost him everything.
The kind whose light touched more hearts than he ever knew.

A Day That Carries the Weight of Years
January 30 is not just a court date.
It is the culmination of years of pain, unanswered questions, and the exhausting fight for truth and justice.
For Sammy’s family, this verdict represents:
- The weight of grief carried quietly for years
- The hope that truth will finally be acknowledged
- The strength it has taken to keep going when the world kept moving on
We are asking for continued prayers, love, and support as we walk into that courtroom one more time.
Please pray for:
- Justice
- Strength
- Peace, whatever the outcome may bring
And please keep Brigette and Sammy’s family in your hearts during this incredibly emotional moment.
Sammy’s Legacy Lives On
While Sammy’s life was tragically cut short, his legacy did not end.
Sammy believed deeply in giving back, in showing up for others, and in caring for people who were struggling. That spirit lives on through Sammy’s Backpacks, a community-driven effort dedicated to helping kids and families in need.
Every act of kindness, every backpack given, every child supported—these are reflections of who Sammy was and what he stood for.
His legacy is not defined by how he died, but by how he lived.
Standing Together as a Community
To our family, friends, and the incredible Sault Ste. Marie community—thank you.
Thank you for:
- Holding us up when we felt like we couldn’t stand
- Sharing Sammy’s story
- Believing in justice
- Helping ensure Sammy is never forgotten
We would not be here without you.
If you are able, mark January 30, 2026, and show up in whatever way you can—through prayer, presence, or quiet support.
Sammy’s light is still with us.
His impact is still felt.
And his legacy of giving back will live on forever.
Remember Sammy Graham Jr.
