Day Five of the Trial in Sault Ste. Marie: Family of Sam Graham Shares Their Pain and Gratitude
The fifth day of the murder trial of Montana Lewis — accused in the fatal stabbing of 19-year-old Sam Graham — took place today in Sault Ste. Marie Superior Court. The testimony described the moments leading up to the tragedy that happened at a Muriel Drive home on November 12, 2020, when our son, Sam, lost his life.
This week has taken an emotional toll on us, but we are deeply moved by the love and support we’ve received from friends, family, and community members. Every person who shows up in court, every message, every prayer — it means more to us than words can say.
We want people to know that Sammy’s story matters, and that we will keep showing up for him, day after day, until justice is served.
To everyone who continues to stand beside us — thank you. Your presence in that courtroom, your compassion online, and your prayers give us the strength to keep going.

— Sam Graham and Family

All I can say is to MURDER, wait, to PLAN TO MURDER and to use a KNIFE like the one I seen in evidence, IS TOTALLY PERSONAL! UP CLOSE & VICIOUS! LITTLE SAM didn’t even see it coming!
Please pray that JUSTICE IS SERVED! Sitting in the courtroom and to hear the details of Sam just being a sweet, non violent, let’s talk it out like Men, everyone get along, treat people right, and removing Himself and His lovely Girlfriend away from LEWIS ( who kept the weapon on His dresser) I’ll stop myself there. There is a beautiful, humanizing video of Little Sam that His Mom composed and shared on FB. Check it out. I’m confident once SAM is not just a name You read or hear, You will support this undeserving family in their fight for Justice! Court does resume Tuesday morning.
I would love to see people with signs in front of behind courthouse to make the public aware of this case. If it can happen to this quiet, loving, all about family, family, it can happen to anyone! I didn’t pass this by Sam Sr. Hope this is ok .
Love You All 🙏🫂❤️🩹💔
Thank you Joan, Your support means so much. Thank you for taking the time to reach out. People like you is how we are able to make it through these extremely difficult times.
