A Birthday of Love, Unity, and Giving Back
This year, my birthday was unlike any other. Instead of just celebrating with family and friends, we came together to do something bigger—something that honored love, community, and the spirit of giving.
On August 24, surrounded by laughter, good food, and the people dearest to me, we held our very first official Sammy’s Backpack packing day. Together, we packed 200 fully stocked backpacks for kids heading back to school this September.
The room was filled with energy and purpose. Watching everyone—from the youngest kids to adults—working side by side to fill backpacks with supplies was a powerful reminder of what unity looks like in action. Each backpack represents not only tools for learning, but also encouragement, hope, and love for the children who will carry them.
Of course, no birthday is complete without cake and celebration, and I’m so grateful to my beautiful wife, Brigette, for making the day even more special. I am so blessed.
From now on, August 24 won’t just be my birthday. It will be a day we dedicate to giving—marking the start of an annual tradition of packing backpacks and spreading kindness in memory of my son, Sammy Graham Jr.
This initiative is more than just backpacks. It’s about community, about standing together, and about turning love into action. My heart is full of gratitude for everyone who showed up, gave their time, donated, and prayed with us.
Let’s continue to raise love, share kindness, and carry this mission forward. Thank you all—and may God bless you.
