An Update on Sammy’s Case
As many of you know, our family has been walking a very difficult road since the loss of our beloved son, Sammy Graham Jr. Almost five years have passed, and the journey has been one of grief, perseverance, and leaning on the love and support of our community.
We want to share with you that the first-degree murder trial for Sammy’s case is scheduled to begin on October 6, 2025. The first day will be devoted to jury selection, and the full trial is expected to start on October 7 and last about three weeks.
The courtroom will be open to the public. Your support—whether in person or in spirit—means more to us than words can express. Knowing we are not walking this path alone gives us strength during this very painful chapter.
These nearly five years have been extremely hard, and we deeply appreciate every prayer, every kind word, and every show of support you have offered.
We also hold close in our hearts the many families who are going through their own hardships and loss. Our prayers are with you as well.
As we move forward, we lean on faith and community. We are reminded of the words in Psalm 13:1–2:
“How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?”
Though our hearts are heavy, we remain committed to honoring Sammy’s memory—not only through this trial but through the ongoing work of Sammy’s Backpacks, bringing comfort and encouragement to children in need.
Thank you for standing with us. Your love and prayers mean everything.
—The Graham Family
